Cubicle 7 Entertainment has released the Macharian Adversary Guide as a PDF, a supplement for Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Imperium Maledictum focused on the threats and influential NPCs of the Macharian Sector. The file is now available on DriveThruRPG for US$ 24,99.

The 160-page guide contains dossiers on some of the region’s most important adversaries, accompanied by stat blocks. It also introduces a new enemy role called Champions, designed for individuals capable of shaping the course of a campaign through their influence, skill or power.

Examples include Space Marines, Genestealer Patriarchs and Necron Cryptarchs. These characters and creatures appear alongside information about the Macharian Sector, adventure ideas and plot hooks to help Game Masters bring the supplement’s conflicts into their own campaigns.

The guide’s setting is built around reports compiled within the Imperial high command. Prefectus Castel and his group of adepts gather information on xenos atrocities, depraved cults and hidden sedition for Sector Lord Aulus Sejanus. Testimonies from survivors, spies and prisoners feed into these records, although bureaucracy and political disputes make it difficult for the documents to reach the authorities responsible.

This obstruction leaves entire worlds vulnerable and shifts the burden of confronting these enemies onto agents who are not always prepared for the task. The context provides the foundation for the adversaries featured in the supplement and the situations that may arise during a campaign.

The Macharian Adversary Guide also includes guidance and tools for creating enemy compositions and patrols. The content requires the Imperium Maledictum core rulebook and expands its bestiary with dangerous and influential NPCs.
