Kobold Press is preparing to release Night Terrors, a collection of 12 gothic horror and dark fantasy adventures for Tales of the Valiant and D&D 5E. The book is due out later this month, putting parties up against supernatural threats, sinister cults, corrupted beings and forces capable of tearing reality apart.

Each adventure is a standalone one-shot, with challenges designed for characters between levels 1 and 16. The scenarios can be played in a single night or combined to launch a brand-new campaign. The collection was inspired by the villains from Night Hunters, another Kobold Press title.

The conflicts featured include a goblin cult with cosmic ambitions, a mad monarch under the influence of a dark presence and a rescue mission in a macabre bazaar. The characters will also face cosmic horrors and corrupted angels from the Deep Void.

The setting also includes draconic mausoleums, vampire cults, a palace filled with deadly riddles and other locations designed to give fantasy a darker tone. In one adventure, the heroes find themselves at the center of a hellish auction where the fate of the world is at stake.

Night Terrors will span 113 pages and will be released in hardcover for US$ 39.99. The edition including the physical book and PDF will cost US$ 49.99, while the digital version is expected to arrive on DriveThruRPG for US$ 24.99 when the collection is released later this month.
