Renegade Game Studios will end its publishing partnership with White Wolf at the end of 2026. The agreement made Renegade the publishing partner for World of Darkness books in 2020 through a contract with Paradox Interactive.

The change comes after Paradox reactivated the White Wolf studio in 2025 and brought development of the line's RPGs in-house. In July 2026, Jess Lanzillo became White Wolf's creative director and announced a new edition of Vampire: The Masquerade during Gen Con.

White Wolf will also take publishing back in-house starting in 2027. Until the end of 2026, Renegade will continue supporting the World of Darkness intellectual property and said it will work with White Wolf to make the transition as smooth as possible.

The change will not affect this year's planned release schedule. All World of Darkness titles developed by Renegade and planned for 2026 will remain scheduled for release as planned.

The partnership between the companies began during a period of reorganization for the line. With development returning to White Wolf and publishing set to follow, Renegade will remain involved in supporting the property until the agreement ends. Starting in 2027, White Wolf will also handle that work within its own organization.
